MC 930 CONDENSER MICROPHONE

The MC 930 can undoubtedly be called a universal talent. Handmade at the company headquarters in Heilbronn, Germany, this true condenser microphone naturally captures a wide range of sound sources. Outstanding technical features, a clever design including switchable pre-attenuation and a switchable low-cut filter make the MC 930 a flexible companion in the studio and live on stage.



AN ACOUSTICALLY BALANCED ALLROUNDER

The MC 930 small diaphragm true condenser microphone combines versatility and sound quality in equal measure. The largely linear frequency response ensures natural sound recording. Whether for acoustic guitars, piano, hi-hats, overhead, choirs, orchestras, vocals or solo instruments of all kinds ‚Äď the MC 930 is a great choice for almost every sound source.

 

 

AS EASY AS FLIPPING A SWITCH

Thanks to its switchable attenuation (-15 dB), the MC 930 can also be used with loud instruments. Disruptive bass frequencies and low-mid frequencies caused, for example, by impact sounds or proximity effects, can be minimised by the switchable low-cut filter of 6 dB/octave at 250 Hz. This microphone works with 11‚Äď52 V phantom power.



POWERFUL FOR USE WITH AUDIO INTERFACES AND MIXING CONSOLES

The MC 930 has one of the most powerful outputs (30 mV/Pa) among comparable microphones. This is a huge advantage, because it requires very little amplification.



A CARDIOID PATTERN WITH SPECIFIC ADVANTAGES

The MC 930 has an almost frequency-independent cardioid polar pattern. This means it prioritises sound from the front over sound from the sides. When it comes to sound from the back, the cardioid pattern offers the best possible attenuation. This means that this microphone is less susceptible to crosstalk, i.e. from other nearby sound sources. Thanks to all of these features, the MC 930 can be used in the studio as well as live on stage.

Handmade in Germany to a high quality standard, the MC 930 true condenser microphone is distinguished by the workmanship that beyerdynamic is known for. Acoustically relevant components such as the true condenser capsule, the system suspension and the counter electrode are all produced in-house. This unique process allows us to produce products of consistently high quality and makes each MC 930 one of a kind



A HARD SHELL PROTECTING A CLEVER CORE

The high-quality true condenser capsule is protected by a durable solid metal housing that also has a significant effect on the sound thanks to its strategically placed holes. The microphone head includes a robust and acoustically neutral sintered disc. Both the switchable pre-attenuation and switchable low-cut filter are integrated into the housing. Thanks to its low weight and compact dimensions, it is quick and easy to position. This microphone now comes in a sturdy hard case.


INDIVIDUAL MEASUREMENT CURVE

Intricately handmade means every MC 930 is unique. We even go one step further and individually measure each and every microphone. A print-out of the measurement curve is included with your purchased M 930.


DURABLE MATERIALS

Our microphones are designed for daily use in professional conditions, which is why only durable materials are used in their construction. If the microphone nevertheless gets damaged, our service policy means that we can replace almost every part.
