Bowers & Wilkins 704 S3 Floorstanding speaker - pair - Mocha

ย

A slim-but-mighty tower speaker

If you're hoping to step into Bowers & Wilkins' excellent 700 Series, the 704 S3 is a great place to start. It's a relatively compact tower speaker that looks great in any room and re-creates music with delightful clarity. The S3 version offers a number of design upgrades for even better performance than its predecessor, along with a gorgeous new mocha finish. Use it with confidence in a hi-fi stereo music setup, or as the front channels of a surround sound setup.

Proprietary drivers

Bowers & Wilkins has spent decades creating and honing technology that gives their speakers a unique and beautiful "voice."

The 1" Decoupled Carbon Domeโ„ข tweeter was purpose-built for the 700 Series to bring studio-quality sound to your home system. It reveals clarity and detail in great vocal performances.

The decoupled 5" Continuumโ„ข cone FSTโ„ข midrange driver now benefits from the company's Biomimetic Suspension, a design which does away with the traditional fabric woofer "spider," which can introduce midrange inaccuracy. This advanced driver also features midrange decoupling technology to minimize interference from the bass drivers.

The speaker's two 5" Aerofoilโ„ข Profile bass cones are computer-modeled to provide the stiffness and rigidity required for deep, musical bass.

Flowportโ„ข for better bass

The bass cones are aided by Bowers & Wilkins' Flowport technology. The 704's bass reflex enclosure features a rear-firing, dimpled and flared port that provides natural bass response without the turbulent "chuffing" that standard ports can create. The speaker includes a two-piece foam plug that can be inserted if you want to adjust bass response to your liking.

A rich history of audio excellence

Founded in England in the 1960s, Bowers & Wilkins is known worldwide for their innovative hi-fi speaker designs and their premium headphones. Crutchfield is proud to offer a diverse selection of products from this legendary audio brand.
