The features defined in the HDMI® 2.1 specification enable 8K/60p video sharing to your compatible display. In addition to HDR10 and HLG, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision™ formats also optimize brightness, contrast and color scene by scene or frame by frame. All HDMI ports support HDCP 2.3, while eARC forwards multi-channel audio (including Dolby Atmos® or DTS:X®) encoded on the Main Out from the tuner of your compatible TV, video streaming apps, or connected media players to the AVR for amplification. QMS (Quick Media Switching) for movies and videos eliminates the lag that can lead to a blank screen before content is displayed. Note: 8K video passthrough is not supported on HDMI inputs 4-6 and Sub/ Zone 2 Out.

Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer and DTS Virtual:X™ deliver 3D sound through any speaker arrangement at the listener level. The technologies can work independently or with Dolby Surround® or DTS® Neural:X upmixers to create a 3D sound field with any audio signal (except Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and DTS® Express).

A powerful quad-core System on a Chip (SoC) performs multiple processing tasks simultaneously. It further develops network functions and supports the 802.11ac standard (2x2 MIMO) for stable multi-room audio streaming.

Clearer dialog at the touch of a button

Vocal Enhancer solves the problem of inaudible dialogue in movies and TV shows by using DSP algorithms to raise the voice frequencies in the soundtrack. The effect level can be raised or lowered via buttons on the remote control.

AccuEQ Room Acoustic Calibration

Detects the size of the speakers, the crossover frequency and the distance to the listening position and sets the appropriate sound pressure levels. Adjusts the crossover and controls all speakers, including the subwoofers. AccuReflex™ optimizes 3D sound through Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers by correcting phase differences in directional and non-directional sound paths. The result is a clear and coherent sound field.

Bi-directional Bluetooth® wireless technology
This AVR can send and receive audio via Bluetooth wireless technology. Stream from your device to the receiver using SBC or AAC codecs, or transfer audio played through the AVR to compatible wireless headphones using SBC, aptX™, or aptX HD codecs, including 24-bit audio via aptX HD.

Note: Supports MAIN Zone source transmission (excludes Chromecast built-in and Works with Alexa). Lossless 24-bit audio requires headphones that support aptX HD.

Zone 2 outputs for powered multi-room audio

Height/Surround Back/Bi-Amp speaker columns can be configured for Powered Zone 2 audio distribution in addition to a 5.2-channel layout. Synchronize one source or play two sources (including analog, HDMI, SPDIF, and NET) in both rooms at the same time.

Note: HDMI and SPDIF only support 2-channel PCM. HDMI is available at inputs 1-3. The output of Zone 2 Line-Out is activated.

Multifunctional line-out for Zone 2 or Zone B

The analog RCA line-out connector is operated by a Zone 2 D/A converter and supports two zone audio modes: Zone 2 supports the connection of active speakers or hi-fi systems. Synchronize a source in MAIN and Zone 2, or play two individual sources at the same time. Zone B is suitable for wireless headphone docks. Enjoy the main zone audio source through your wireless headphones. This connector also supports the front L/R pre-output to an external hi-fi power amplifier.

Note: In Zone 2 mode, HDMI audio is available at inputs 1-3 and SPDIF and HDMI only support 2-channel PCM signals. In Zone B mode, encoded and 2-channel PCM audio (all inputs) is enabled in MAIN and Zone B.

Relax with Stereo Assign Mode

Stereo Assign mode switches playback from the front speakers to the height, surround or surround back speakers, depending on the layout. Ideal for listening in the background.
